A Busy Week ~

It had been a week since my last post. Last week had been a busy for me, Bio lab assessment and Debate on Monday, Computing Mid-Term exam on Wednesday, and My SPM result out on Thursday.

My group debate title is "Is Book smart better than Street smart?" and I was the 3rd speaker on the affirmative team. And this is my script:

Good afternoon to my teacher and my fellow classmates. The negative team mention on street smart is better than book smart as they can run business. A street smart person might be running a business, but who does he employ? He employs a university graduate. Yes, he may be smart in doing business and did learn that from the streets. But the people he employs are the book smarts, they are the back bone of the company. They run the company; they contribute the ideas, taking the business to greater heights.

As for this point, street smart is better as they have more experience than book smart. I wish to add on experience can be developed as time goes on. Some times what you learn on the streets may not be useful in your job. This is because most professions today require a more in depth knowledge of that certain field and street smarts only know the fundamental of the field they might want to work in.

Just now the negative team mention street smart can do things better than book smart. But book smart people might think further ahead when planning things because they are trained to think further. When you have more knowledge, you would know more about that doing something might have a side effect and well take measures to correct it, for example, they want to mix potassium with water, but they don't know that it might cause an explosion.

In conclusion, it is easier to survive being book smart than being street smart alone. As the book smart can always learn from observation in the streets as well, but it takes a lot for a street smart person to do what book smarts do. Look around you, book smarts person are still living even thought they have less living skills, but they make the world go round with a much more impact than of a street smart. Thank you.

The title of the other team is "Married is better than single."

I didn't have the chance the whole conclusion because there are not enough time for me since we start the debate late and running for the next class - Biology Lab. For this biology lab, we are having a chance to see our own cheek cells and the process of mitosis. Furthermore we had a Biology quiz during the same day.

Seumas collecting cheek cells for Shely. XD

Potato cells with iodine.

As for my SPM result, I get 3A, 4B and 4C. I'm not quite satisfy with my result but quite shocked that my History can get A2.  But that is not that important for now, now I need to prepare for my mid-term exam which is 3 weeks remaining and need to be more hardworking to achieve higher GPA for my uni intake.

P.S : By the way, I want to congrats all my friends for getting Marvelous results. Kudos to you all!! Keep up the good work! Looking forward for our next gathering... Miss You All ~ XD

Today weather is kinda weird, when I'm walking to uni the weather is freezing and during the afternoon it's HOT!  And now I'm having sore throat and flu >__<. Tonight will go to bed early, hope that I can recover faster since there are not much time till the mid-term exam.

So see ya everyone~
Hope you all will be in a healthy condition and have a GREAT week!!
